Alex Nyman is the station manager here at WESS and has been with the station for 3 years. Formerly she served as the Promotions Director and has had 3 different shows during her time at WESS. Her longest running show is “Mood Rings” which is on Friday’s from 3-4pm. Alex’s show has always been based off her mood, hence the name. She plays everything from Indie and Alternative rock to Dub step and Electronica. You can also hear Alex on “PWNED” Tuesday’s from 3-4pm.
Bernie is a Senior at East Stroudsburg University and is heavily involved is the station’s Sports Department. You can hear Bernie on “Rush Hour Sports” which is on Wednesday’s from 4 to 6pm.
DirtyFINGERS is the host of “The FUNKtion” which airs Friday nights from 11:00pm to 1:00am. The show features new music, current hits and classic records from the global urban music diaspora. April’s show is called Cake’s Country Crunchup, you can tune in Wednesdays at 3-4pm. Country is always better with a little cake! April is a Communications major with a minor in Dance, she is originally from Wisconsin.
Cory Nidoh and Bernie voice their opinions on the biggest stories in the MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL, on “Rush hour Sports.” Tune in to get a different view on topics that are taking the sports nation by storm, Wednesday’s from 4 to 6pm. Melenie is a Communications major here at ESU, and she has been with WESS for a year and plays R&B on her show “Heart 2 Heart.” You can tune into Melenie’s show Thursday from 8pm to 9pm.
Sara is a freshman at ESU and is currently in her second semester with WESS. She is the Music Librarian here at WESS and plays classic rock, metal, metalcore, pop punk and pop on her show PopRok Radio Fridays at 10pm!
Sean Eich is a Senior at ESU and has been with WESS for 3 years and is currently interning for Sirius Radio. You can tune into Sean’s show “Power Hour” from 4 to 5pm on Tuesdays.
Ryan has been a DJ with WESS for 4 years and has WESS’ longest tenured show, “Skindy Rock” you can catch Skindy Rock every Monday night from 10pm to 12am. Ryan has also been a dedicated Music Director with WESS for the past three years, and he puts out a Music Update weekly.
Jill is a Junior at ESU studying Communications. She is the Training Director here at WESS. Her show “Child MGMT” is on from 10pm to 11pm on Tuesday nights. Rhi is a junior at ESU and is studying Communications, she is currently the News Director here at WESS. Rhi has been with the station for 3 years and you can catch her show “Bri without the B” Tuesday’s from 7 to 8pm.
Shannon is the Program Director here at WESS and has been with the station for 4 years. For up beat music and a bubbly on-air personality, you can tune into Shannon’s show “Tounge Tied” Tuesday nights from 9 to 10pm. You can also catch Shannon on her second show, “ShanBran”.

Jeremy is a Senior here at ESU and is studying Media Communications. You can hear Jeremy on “Sugar High” Thursdays from 9 to 11pm. You can also hear him gush about his true passion, anime, on his gaming talk show, “PWN’D”, where gamers meet society. He is accompanied by his lovely co-host, Alex Nyman. The pair banter about the latest releases in the gaming and anime world, as well as their flavors of the week.
Brandon is a Media Communications Major here at ESU and is currently the Education Director at WESS. You can tune into Brandon’s show “ShanBran” from 10pm to 12am on Wednesday nights. He is accompanied by his bubbly co-host, Shannon Terstappen, as the pair find themselves tounge tied during their talk breaks.
James is a Media Communications major here at ESU who specializes in Video. He is a co- DJ of the show “Child Mgmt” with the wonderfully talented Jill Monica. He is currently the Production Director here at WESS. You may recognize him from the “Legit Show”. You can hear James’ on Tuesday nights from 10pm to 11pm.
Blaise is a local musician and DJ here at WESS. He is studying Speech Pathology. You can catch Blaise during his show “Ridin’ Solo”, the show that features solo indie artists. He even premieres some of his original songs on his show. You can catch Blaise from 7 to 8pm on Wednesday nights.
Marcus is a junior here at ESU and is studying Sports Management. Marcus has been a DJ for 2 semesters. You can tune into his show “Sports Talk” for all the latest stats, and opinions on local and national sports Mondays from 6 to 7pm.
This is Uchi’s first semester as a DJ with WESS. He is currently DJing for 3 separate shows. You can tune into either “Uchi Entertainment” on Fridays from 5 to 8pm, “Uchi Experience” from 10 to 11pm on Thursday nights or you can catch Uchi co-hosting on B-Boy Brandon on Friday afternoon from 12 to 1pm. Uchi plays everything from party music to electronic dance.
Jen is a new DJ to WESS, but she is not new to the music scene. Jen plays in the ESU concert band. Although she is new, she has a great passion for her listeners and for the station. Jen’s show “Going under” is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 to 1am.
Mitch is a new DJ to WESS. He is also in concert band, and has a great passion for music. You can catch him on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 to 1am on “Going under”. He is accompanied by his fellow band mate, Jen. The two make a great pair, and their banter is sure to make the listeners feel right at home.
Matt Hoffman is a new comer to WESS. His show is called “Huffy Headlines”. He plays a wide variety of music, and loves to keep the listeners on their toes.
Christina hosts a Spanish talk show every Thursday from 3 to 4pm, “Tu Voz Con Christina.” You get the latest news, music and entertainment while having the opportunity to call into the show as well!
Chris Symonds show “The Motherload” plays everything from R & B and soul music to pop rock. You can catch Chris’ show from 1 to 3pm on Tuesday afternoons. You can also catch him with his co-host B-Boy as the duo talks about life, music, and much more.
Steve has 2 shows here at WESS, “Alternating Currents” and “Jazz for the Common Man.” Steve’s shows air back to back 8am to 9am and 9am to 12pm respectively on Saturday mornings.
Ryan is a Senior at ESU studying Media Communications. He has been apart of WESS for 2 years and is currently the Internet Director for the station. You can tune into Ryan’s show “Half past the Sprawl” that features math and post rock on Mondays from 8 to 9pm. He is also accompanied by his quirky co-host, Sam, as the duo chats about everything from music to physics.
Rob is a Professor of Communication Studies at ESU, and is also the University Adviser to WESS Radio. He has hosted “The Talk Show” and “Stones Hour” on WESS for over 20 years.
