I joined the Economics Department faculty at East Stroudsburg University in August of 1992. I started out as an engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, followed by a Master’s degree in Management. I also worked a few years as an executive in an automobile company in India. My Ph.D. is in Finance and Managerial Economics from SUNY Buffalo, New York. My research interests are in Business and Labor Economics, as well as Applied Economic Analysis.
I am one of the three founding directors of the Business and Economic Research Group at ESU, which conducts applied economic research. During the last ten years, the group has received several grants from The Center for Rural Pennsylvania, The Brookings Institution, The National Education Association, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, just to name a few.
Over the years I have served on various committees, both at the department level and the University level. I also serve on the board of Non-Profit organizations in the Lehigh Valley.
