Faculty of the College of Health Sciences at East Stroudsburg University are launching a weekly broadcast on WESS 90.3 FM , the university’s student-run radio station, where they will inform listeners how to get healthy starting this holiday season.

The show titled “Healthy Warriors” will be aired every Wednesday from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.

It is designed to utilize the expertise of the faculty in the College of Health Sciences to explore, discuss and provide information on a variety of topics that are current and relevant within the health sciences. Sample topics include weight loss, concussion, health myths, stress reduction, health literacy, and nutritional supplements.

“This opportunity gives me the chance to collaborate with my colleagues across the College of Health Sciences to provide another vehicle to educate the campus, local community and the Commonwealth on healthy choices and behaviors,” Shala Davis, Ph.D., professor and chair of exercise science and faculty liaison to the provost, graduate college, said.

The hosts include Dr. Davis, Ann Millet, assistant professor of speech-language pathology, Kim Razzano, Ph.D., associate professor of health studies, and Laura Waters, Ph.D., professor and chair of nursing.

“We discuss interesting topics delivered with expertise and a lot of humor,” Dr. Razzano said.
