Department of Music to Present Winter Vocal Jazz Concert

East Stroudsburg University’s University Singers will present a Winter Vocal Jazz Concert Sunday, December 2 at 7 p.m. at the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall at the University’s Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg.
The concert, sponsored by the Department of Music, is open to the public at no cost, however donations to Vocal Performing Arts will be accepted.
Guest jazz pianist Wolfgang Knittel will join several student soloists on standards such as “Stardust,” “Someone to Watch Over Me,” and “Our Love is Here to Stay.”
Other highlights include: “Take the ‘A’ Train,”I’ve Got You Under my Skin,” “Take Five,” and Billy Joel’s “Lullabye.”
The University Singers are a medium-sized select ensemble of mixed voices that focus on popular, folk, and Broadway show music. Dr. James Maroney, associate professor of music, directs the group.
