ESU Faculty Members Publish Books

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce that Joshua Loomis, Ph.D., assistant professor of microbiology and Christopher E.S. Warburton, Ph.D., an adjunct assistant professor of political science and economics, have each been published recently.

Dr. Loomis published a book titled Epidemics: The Impact of Germs and Their Power over Humanity. Published by Praeger Publishing, the text takes a holistic approach to explaining how these diseases have shaped who we are as a society. Each of the worst epidemic diseases is discussed from the perspective of how it has been a causative agent of change with respect to our history, religious traditions, social interactions, and technology. Dr. Warburton wrote The Development of International Monetary Policy. The monograph traces the development of international monetary policy from mercantilism to quantitative easing. It has been structured to present some of the pressing issues in international monetary relations involving currency valuation, inflation, exchange rates, and regional monetary policy.
