East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Voices of Triumph, the student gospel choir, will host its fall concert on Saturday, November 22, from 5- 8 p.m. in the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall, located in the university’s Fine and Performing Arts Center.

“Listening to ESU’s Gospel Choir was a dynamic experience that created a long lasting sweet memory,” said Sonia Figueroa-Pagan, a doctoral student in the administration and leadership studies program at ESU. “Their rich, resonant voices filled the concert hall with harmonious melodies that were enjoyed by all who were present.”

The event will feature musical and dance performances by the ESU praise team and other guest artists including choirs from Millersville University and Shippensburg University, Pure Worship, House of Chayah, Ebenezar Baptist Praise Team and Norton Ave Praise Team.

“The concert celebrates diversity and allows the choir and other guest artists to minister the word of God through song and actions,” Kizzy Morris, director of enrollment services and registrar, said.

The event is open to the public and free of charge. Holiday donations will be collected as a part of the choir’s annual fundraising effort. This year, the choir asks the general public to donate winter attire to assist with the Warm Coats, Warm Hearts initiative and the local Salvation Army for its Red Kettle fundraiser.
