ESU Organization Awarded Funds for Donation to United Way of Monroe County

Monroe County Cruiser Car Club Vice President Steve Getten presented a fund-raising check for $1,200 to Chris Bello, assistant director of student activities, for the East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) Student Activity Association. The money is for an ESU SECA donation to United Way of Monroe County. The money was raised during an event held during ESU’s Family Weekend in September.

The State Employee Combined Appeal (SECA) is the commonwealth’s annual combined charitable giving campaign for employees. During the months of September through November, employees may donate to any of hundreds of participating non-profit charities, including United Ways of Pennsylvania.

The check was awarded at the Eastern Monroe Public Library in Stroudsburg on Monday, November 5, at 7 p.m.

Funding will support the Monroe County United Way of Monroe County and its member agencies, said Daria Wielebinski, ESU’s director of career development and student success. Wielebinski is co-chairing the SECA campaign this year with ESU Registrar Kizzy Morris. Th United Way agencies supported are:
