ESU Presents Fall Jazz Concert

Two musical groups at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, the University Singers and the University Jazz Ensemble, will present a Fall Jazz Concert Sunday, November 23 at 7 p.m. in the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall of the university’s Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets.

The two groups will join together to present a song called Dr. Blues. Other selections by the University Singers include: My Heart Stood Still, Choo Choo Ch’Boogie, Stolen Moments, Fields of Gold, and Sway.

The University Jazz Ensemble will perform selections from the standard jazz repertoire. Matt Vashlishan, D.M.A., temporary instructor of music, directs the instrumental ensemble.

University Singers is a select ensemble that specializes in jazz and pop music. James Maroney, Ed.D., associate professor of music, directs the group.
