Sussex County Community College in New Jersey (SCCC) has signed an articulation agreement with East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania for a Human Services degree program. SCCC also signed an articulation agreement with New Jersey Institute of Technology for both Information Systems and Computer Science degree programs.

The articulation agreement with ESU will allow students who graduate from SCCC with an Associate of Science in Human Services and a 2.5 GPA to seamlessly transfer into ESU’s Bachelor of Science in Social Work Program. Students will enter ESU as juniors and will be able to complete the Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree within two years. The degree can lead to licensure in most states and provide students with the potential for advanced standing in Masters of Social Work programs around the country.

SCCC’s Social Science Department Chairperson Naomi Miller commented, “This is a very exciting opportunity for students interested in becoming change agents in their communities by entering the social work field. The ESU program is excellent and students get an outstanding foundation in social work education at SCCC.”
