University/Community Concert Band to Present Spring Concert

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s University/Community Concert Band (UCCB) will present its 30th annual spring band concert on Sunday, April 30 at 4 p.m. in Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall of the university’s Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg.
Works by Wagner, Hazo, Holst, Leroy Anderson and others will be included in the program. Vincent LoRusso, adjunct professor of theatre, is director of the band.
As part of the program, the Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Jim Wilson, adjunct professor of theatre, will perform Songo Concertino by Michael Eubanks; El Paso Waltz by Brian Slawson; and Centurion March for Percussion by Morris Alan Brand.
The performance, sponsored by the ESU Department of Theatre, is open to the public at no cost.
