East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Athletic Training Department will host Mr. Michael Lynch, director of admissions at New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) on October 22 at 10 a.m. in Koehler Fieldhouse Room 205.

Mr. Lynch has been the Director of Admissions at NYCC for 17 years. In his visit to ESU, he will discuss several aspects of the chiropractic profession including educational requirements, career opportunities and its role in the overall health care system. He will also provide an overview of the academic program at NYCC.

“For many students, this is their first exposure to the possibility of chiropractic as a career, so the goal is to let them know that there are other options available to them,” Lynch said.

The programs at NYCC include master’s degree programs in Acupuncture (M.S.A.), Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (M.S.A.O.M.), Applied Clinical Nutrition (M.S. A.C.N.), and Human Anatomy and Physiology Instruction (M.S.H.A.P.I.) as well as their Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) program. This session may be of particular interest to professional rehabilitation sciences track students, but all students across campus are welcome to attend.

This event is open to the public and it is free of charge. For further information about this event, please contact Kevin Casebolt, Ph.D., professor of athletic training, or Gerard Rozea, Ph.D., associate professor and chair of athletic training at 570-422-3231.
