ESU’s Department of Music to Present Winter Choral Concert

Music of many languages and centuries, including some seasonal selections, will be featured at East Stroudsburg University’s Winter Choral Concert on Wednesday, December 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall of the Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg.

Selections to be presented by the A Cappella Ensemble include: “Locus Iste” by Anton Bruckner; “How Sweet Is Love” by Michael Paget; “A Ditty” by Nils Lindberg; “Hark, I Hear the Harps Eternal” by Alice Parker; and “Dieu! quil la fait bon regarder” by Claude Debussy.

The Concert Choir will perform “O Schöne Nacht” by Johannes Brahms; “I Wonder as I Wander” by John Jacob Niles; “Spanish Carol;” Haydn’s “Te Deum;” “Go Tell It On the Mountain;” and other selections. Both groups are under the direction of James Maroney, Ed.D., associate professor of music.
