The display is open to the public and is free of charge.

This event offers ESU faculty members who received travel grants or mini grants from the FDR Committee the opportunity to present, in poster form, the results of their funded research.

Presenters include LuAnn Batson-Magnuson, Ph.D., assistant professor of Speech-Language Pathology, whose presentation is titled “Phonological and Non-Phonological Language Skills as Predictors of 1st Grade Reading Performance.”

The main lobby becomes a temporary visual repository of research from an array of academic departments. It will showcase FDR-funded scholarship produced from Fall 2013 through Summer 2014.

The university’s FDR grant initiative is funded by the Office of the Provost. The committee’s charge is to distribute funds to university faculty members in order to advance the professional development of those faculty members. The fall poster event offers visitors from the ESU community a way to learn about research conducted by faculty members.
