Fourth Annual Femme Fatale Film Festival

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s fourth annual Femme Fatale Film Festival will be held at the Pocono Community Theater (PCT), 88 S. Courtland Street in East Stroudsburg, on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Two films will be shown: The Tattered Dress, which will begin at 10 a.m., and Out of the Past, which will start at noon.

The event will be hosted by the ESU Women’s Studies and English departments, the University Writing Studio, and the College of Arts and Sciences. Admission to both movies is open to the general public at no cost.  Seats are limited and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Those interested may stop by for any part of the program or stay for the entire day.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

9:30 a.m.

Doors Open. (Refreshments available for purchase at the PCT Café)

10:00 a.m.

The Tattered Dress
Synopsis: This movie is a prime example of film noir at its finest based on murder, love, money and lies in a small Nevada town.
Starring: Jeff Chandler, Jeanne Crain, Jack Carson, Gail Russell and Elaine Stewart.

Noon

Out of the Past
Synopsis: This movie is considered to be a textbook example of film noir as a private eye makes an attempt to escape his past in a small Midwestern town … but his past has a way of catching up with him in this exciting flick.
Starring: Robert Mitchum, Jane Greer, Kirk Douglas, Rhonda Fleming and Richard Webb.
