Public Notice Message: The Teacher Education Unit at East Stroudsburg University is hosting an accreditation visit by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) in October 2013. Interested parties are invited to submit third-party comments to the visiting team. Please note that comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs offered, and should specify the party’s relationship to the institution (i.e., graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates). Community Dance Program Classes for Children and Adults Start Sept. 7.

Children’s Dance: Saturdays
Session 1: Sept.7 – Oct.12
Session 2: Oct.19 – Nov. 23
9:30 – 10:15 AM ……..Creative Dance 4 – 5 year olds (new)
10:15 – 11:00 AM …………Creative Dance 4 – 5 year olds (return)
11:00 – 11:45 AM …………Lyrical Contemporary 6-8 year olds
11:45 AM – 2:45 PM Hip-Hop/Jazz 9-12 year olds
Cost: $60 per 6-week session

Adult Classes Fall 2013
Adult Yoga/Pilates: Mondays 5:30 – 6:30 PM
Adult Zumba: Tuesdays, Thursdays 5:30 – 6:30 PM Session 1: Sept. 9 – Oct. 17
Session 2: Oct. 21 – Dec. 12 (no class Nov. 18-21)
Cost for each 6-week session: $66 once a week, $132 twice a week

Application for Graduation – Master and Doctoral Degree Candidates: The deadline to apply for Winter 2013 Graduation for all master and doctoral candidates is September 16. Application forms can be found online or at the Graduate College which is located in Zimbar-Liljenstein Hall, Room 154. The graduation fee is $30 and is non-refundable. Checks should be made out to East Stroudsburg University.

Faculty Workshop – Revised

Thursday, August 22 in Sci-Tech 145 Computer Lab Faculty orientation is a one-day program open to all faculty members at ESU. Please note that the agenda has been slightly revised. You may attend the sessions of your choice. A light breakfast and a lunch will be provided. If you plan to attend all or part of the program, please RSVP to the Committee for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (cetl@esu.edu) by August 13. This event is co-sponsored by CETL and human resources.
