Attention All Funded Student Organizations: Did you miss the Budget Workshops? If so, you must contact Atiba Khan, chair of finance for the Student Senate, at 570-422-3417 to receive your budget submission information. All budget requests for 2014 – 2015 must be submitted to the Student Activity Association office on the second floor of the University Center by 4:00 PM on Monday, Feb. 17.

1st Annual Novel-Writing Mini-Marathon, Noon to 4:00 PM Saturday, March 1 for Writing Marathon and 2:30 – 3:30 PM. Thursday, March 6 for the Marathon Showcase at the Writing Studio in the Kemp Library. Be a novelist for the day! Take the chance to develop your creative writing and share your work in a supportive group environment. TUTOR/COUNSELOR: Seeking applicants for the position of Tutor/Counselor for the Upward Bound program beginning June 16 and ending August 1. Responsibilities include planning and supervising student life activities in the residence hall, conducting social, cultural, and recreational activities, developing and encouraging recent Upward Bound students via a small group setting, attending meetings and additional duties. Please plan to attend an informational meeting on February 13, at 2:00 PM in the Upward Bound office (Trio Building, 285 Normal Street) 570-422-3476 or email mantonioli@esu.edu. Deadline for applications is March 28, 2014. Senior, Junior, and Sophomore ESU students with experience working with adolescents and 2.5 GPA are preferred. Act 34 and 151 and FBI clearances required. This is an ESU work study position. Applicant must be an ESU student who is registered for fall 2014.

The University-wide Sabbatical Leave Committee will host an Information Session on Preparing the Sabbatical Proposal from 2:00 – 3:00 PM on Thursday, Feb. 20 in Stroud 210. The session is for faculty members who are thinking about applying for a sabbatical leave for the 2015 – 2016 academic year. Learn about what is involved in preparing and submitting a strong sabbatical application.
