Veteran Hollywood Casting Director Cathy Reinking to Speak at ESU on Thursday, January 23

Cathy Reinking, a veteran Hollywood casting director, will discuss Cracking the Myths and Glimpsing the Realities of Working in Television, Film and Theatre at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 23, at the Smith-McFarland Theatre of East Stroudsburg University’s Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg.

Reinking, a graduate of UCLA’s Theatre program, works and lives in Los Angeles and is a former manager of casting for NBC.  Some of the many television shows she has cast include Frasier, Arrested Development, According to Jim, The Office and Medium.

Reinking recently co-created, co-wrote, co-produced and cast a web comedy titled “The British Invasion” which involved ESU alumni.  She has also cast pilots, films, web series, commercials and plays.

A limited number of signed copies of her book, How to Book Acting Jobs in TV and Film, will be available for purchase at the lecture.
