The Periodicals/Electronic Resources Department is responsible for Kemp Library’s collection of magazines, journals, newspapers and electronic resources.

This includes selecting, ordering, processing, organizing and making accessible these materials in all formats as well as providing assistance in their use.

The Department is committed to developing and maintaining a collection that meets the curricular and research needs of ESU students and faculty.

Kemp Library has over 1000 print and 300 micro-form titles, and more than 70 online databases that provide access to over 25,000 electronic journals.

Print and micro-form titles may be used in the library only and can be identified by consulting the Kemp Library Periodical Holdings book.

This “red book” is a bound volume that contains information on all print and micro-form periodical titles held in Kemp Library.

Copies are located at the Reference Desk and on the computer and index tables on the Library’s main floor.

To determine the availability of specific electronic periodicals consult the “Electronic Journals” link on the library’s web page.

This A to Z list contains information on and links to the journals for which we have electronic access.

Most of these titles are available both on and off campus with off campus access requiring the use of a University eCard number or campus computer username/password combination.
