Students who wish to be readers must be able to read English fluently and speak clearly.
Readers will be required to read tests to students who have difficulty reading due to a visual impairment or learning disability.
Readers /Scribes must provide a copy of their schedule as well as any other times they are unavailable.
Readers/Scribes will be assigned on a first come first served basis so it is essential that the office be informed of any changes in contact information.
Readers/scribes must pick up the yellow card with the student contact information as soon as possible after they receive the assignment. The Reader/Scribe should contact the student immediately to verify the location of the test.
The student will be expected to sign the yellow card after the test is completed and the Reader/scribe will be paid an hourly wage based on the time on the card.
Scribes will be assigned to students with injuries or mobility issues or other impairments which impact their ability to write.
Scribes are expected to have clear and legible handwriting or printing. They are expected to transcribe ONLY what has been dictated by the student and write exactly what has been said. They are NOT to edit, interpret or enhance the student’s answers in any way.
