Museum Guides

Developed in collaboration with the educators at East Stroudsburg University, our programs are rooted in current scientific knowledge and educational theory. We are steadily working to increase the number of standards-based programs, and we hope you will check back as our list of offerings grows.

Planetarium Guides

Educator guides are provided for some of our films, as listed below. These guides were developed by each film’s academic advisors. We look forward to having more such materials available in the near future.

East Stroudsburg University Faculty and Staff

The McMunn Planetarium is a facility of the Physics Department at East Stroudsburg University and is regularly used as a classroom for physics and astronomy courses. Since the planetarium’s completion in 2008, it has welcomed thousands of ESU students and public visitors for seasonal sky shows and feature presentations. Many of the seasonal programs have been developed by Physics professor Dr. David Buckley.

The Schisler Museum has been used as a university classroom for courses covering biology, ecology, art, and literature.

ESU faculty and staff who would like to incorporate museum and planetarium programming into their coursework may contact us to learn about programs and cross-departmental opportunities.
