Nature by Night Flashlight Tours

The best part of a slumber party is staying up at night! Wear your favorite jammies and roam the world’s habitats in an after-hours tour of the Schisler Museum and McMunn Planetarium.

One adult per family is required to remain throughout the visit. Event includes flashlight tour, planetarium film, craft, and goody bag. Flashlights are provided, but you may bring your own or use your cellphone.

ESU For Kids: The Art of Fur and Feathers

Calling all art and nature lovers! As part of ESU For Kids, enjoy a full-day workshop with award-winning scientific illustrator Mark A. Klingler, illustrator of Field Guide to the Natural World of New York City, as he takes you through the world of nature and wildlife illustration. Amateurs can learn the basics, and even pros can pick up a new technique or two.

Get your hands on some real-life science! The Northeast Wildlife DNA Laboratory at East Stroudsburg University uses cutting-edge techniques to help law enforcement and conservation groups protect our region’s wildlife. Build your case using actual tools such as microscopes, evidence bags, and testing strips to nail your suspect!

  • Adults must accompany children under the age of 10.
