The Northeastern Pennsylvania Writing Project (NPWP) located at the Reading Department in the College of Education of East Stroudsburg University, is a site of the National Writing Project.
NPWP is a teacher network of teacher consultants who work with educators to explore teaching and learning as it relates to reading and writing in classrooms and schools across northeastern Pennsylvania. NPWP was established in 2005. (Link to history page)
NPWP sponsors programs for educators and students focused on reading and writing instruction and skills and strategy development. These programs include summer institutes, workshops and study groups. In addition to these programs, NPWP works with schools and districts to provide customized professional development to support teachers as they work to implement best practices in reading and writing.
