Mattioli Recreation Center Scholarship

The Mattioli Recreation Center Endowed Scholarship Fund was created by the Mattioli Family in 2010 to support students in their academic pursuits at East Stroudsburg University. The scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student(s) in the spring for the following academic year.

Selected by: Leadership Team of the Mattioli Recreation Center
Amount of Reward: Varies dependent on fund balance

Time of Reward: Awarded each spring for the following academic year, half in the Fall semester and half in the Spring Semester

 

Guidelines and Criteria

Purpose: Established to recognize undergraduate students for their commitment to recreation.
Qualifications: Recipients must be full-time students who demonstrate leadership and a spirit of dedication to recreation and healthy lifestyles. Preference to be given to individuals who participate in or volunteer for Recreation Center programs.
Application: To apply for the Mattioli Recreation Center Endowed Scholarship write a 500 word essay describing the applicant’s time management of school, family and fitness, the importance of staying physically active, involvement with the Mattioli Recreation Center, involvement in other extracurricular activities, participation in fitness and fitness classes, demonstrated areas of leadership and civility with examples and the importance of excellence in service to others. At the top of the essay, please include your name, class year, phone number, email and local address.
Acad. Merit: Minimum QPA of 2.5
Financial Need: No restriction
Submission Deadline: Friday, April 10, 2015 for 2015-2016 Academic Year
