Dr. Xia\u2019s book is titled \u201cScholarly Communication at the Crossroads in China.\u201dPublished by Elsevier in Amsterdam as the Chandos Information Professional Series, the book explores scholarly communication traditions in China as well as their recent developments, focusing on both achievements and challenges at every step of the process. The book became available online this month and will be available in print January 2017. \u201cScholarly Communication at the Crossroads in China\u201d presents a thorough representation of scholarship creation, publication, preservation, access, and evaluation in China, with official data, interviews and the latest multidisciplinary information about education, publishing, library science, and information science. \u201cScholarly Communication at the Crossroads in China\u201d can be purchased in the Elsevier Store<\/a>, store.elsevier.com.<\/p>\n Dr. Squeri\u2019s book is \u201cWaiting for Contact, The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence.\u201d The book tells the story of the people and goals behind the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) movement, which emerged in 1959 as astronomers began using technological developments to listen for messages from space. SETI gained advocates who believed guidance from technically and ethically advanced outsiders would help humanity avoid the horrors of war and the threat of nuclear annihilation.
