Brian Silva is a senior studying Communications at ESU. He is the current Program Director here at WESS Radio, and runs the show Brian on Broadway, the show brings you several different cast recordings from the many New York Broadway Shows through out the years as well as updated news of all things Broadway. Jillian ‘Jill’ Deiley is DJ Deiley Coyote on the 90.3 fm WESS airwaves! She majors in communications with focus in broadcasting and mass media. Raised in Leesport Pennsylvania, she enjoys roller disco, walking her dog, Attacus, and rockin’ out to rock music both timeless and cutting edge. She joins Greg Curtis on their New Music Block Tuesdays from 9-10pm and howls solo on her own show, Dark Side of the Tunes, Wednesdays from 7pm to 8pm. Greg is the current Production Director, also know as Dj Gmoney and @ on Twitter. He is the DJ behind the Grunge Report and is part of HanginBang. He is a huge grunge and rock fan. He also enjoys weird/funny news stories, a good argument, and anything new in science and technology.
Shane is the current Sports Director at WESS radio, majoring in Communication Studies in Broadcasting. Aside from broadcasting live ESU sporting events, he runs the Rush Hour Sports, Wednesdays from 5-6pm. He also joins Greg Curtis to argue his opinions on Hangin’ Bang Tuesday’s from 7-8pm.
Steve has 2 shows here at WESS, “Alternating Currents” and “Jazz for the Common Man.” Steve’s shows air back to back 8am to 9am and 9am to 12pm respectively on Saturday mornings.
Rob is a Professor of Communication Studies at ESU, and is also the University Adviser to WESS Radio. He has hosted “The Talk Show” and “Stones Hour” on WESS for over 20 years.
Madame Raine is the DJ Producer of Sistah Chat Radio radio joined by frequent guests Deborah Cofer, Dr. Karlene Ferron, Sara Smith-Katz and Debbie Smith. This show is designed to educate, encourage, promote and support women’s ability to live their lives with passion, purpose and power. Currently, Alicia is a doctoral student conducting research in Innovative Initiatives in Public Education . She also works in the Career Development Center counseling undergraduates/alumni in career readiness and graduate schooling.
Jasmine Amro is a sophomore majoring in Communications with a concentration in broadcasting. Hailing from Jefferson, New Jersey, shes runs cross country and track here at ESU. Amro enjoys meeting new people and getting to know them for who they really are, “that’s why I like to conduct interviews here at WESS Radio”. She has a show called “Warrior Report” every Wednesday from 10 to 10:30pm, in which ESU athletes come on and show who they really are. B-Boy Brandon has been making a big splash for 4 years on WESS Radio. Now with his new time slot, Fridays from 8-10pm, “Madness With B-Boy Brandon” brings all the old and new dance tracks, along with some R&B and Hip-hop.
What’s going on everyone! Cherry Poppins is a graduate student in the Instructional Technology program here at ESU. Originally from Ft. Wayne, IN, she resides right here in East Stroudsburg, PA. She enjoys listening to the world around her, and blogs with her longtime cohost MellaDi. They started a new blog recently called Chronicles from 35th Ave , which we use as a platform to promote all different types of talent; from dancers to singers, rappers, MUA’s, models, photographers, graphic designers, and the list goes on and on. Rick Franzo is a WESS Alumni, having been a DJ while at ESU in the mid to late 80’s. He is the host of Catch The Brain Wave, one of the only shows on the planet focusing on brain tumors and brain cancers airing Fridays from 6-7pm. Rick is a 2x brain tumor survivor, and works for Barnes & Noble College Bookstore on the campus of ESU.
Adriana Torres is a Senior majoring in Communications Studies with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in DMT Photography. Raised in Queens, New York, I enjoy taking pictures of friends and concerts. I love alternative and lofi/punk music.Catch my show Mondays at noon.
Mason Allen Buskirk is a Communications major and a sophomore attending East Stroudsburg University. Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, he has traveled to many parts of the world, including China, Japan, Canada, and Great Britain. Mason is the voice behind the Classical show “Symphonic Masterpieces” and provides the narration and background to the various pieces he plays. He loves poetry, literature, sports, traveling, and classical music.
Taylor Drew is a senior majoring in Social Work. Starting back in 2013, she plays alternative and classic rock and throws a little bit of country in the mix on her show. Be sure to catch her show “Crossroads ” on Monday nights from 8-9pm.
Amber Jadus is a junior, majoring in Communications and a minor in Business Management. She enjoys playing tennis, friends, and almost any genre of music there is. When she’s not on the court with the ESU Tennis Team, you can listen to her show “All That and Then Some”, Mondays from 3:00- 4:00 PM.
Susie Forrester is a local freelance and fine art photographer, currently shooting for ESU. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Susie came to the Poconos to attend ESU, back in the day. A Sociology / Criminal Justice major, she took a photography class in her senior year…and this changed the direction of her life. Vincent Gervasi (DJ Fire) is a very “Fabulous” and active person at ESU. Other than WESS, he is the Communications Coordinator of the National Broadcasting Society of the ESU chapter, a Baritone/Trombone player in the ESU bands, and a member of the ESU Game Society. The Pokemon and Zelda games are his favorites. After ESU, he wants to move to Charleston SC with his parents to pursue a job in digital media.
