Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education Chancellor Frank T. Brogan will host a Facebook LIVE webcast to discuss the State System’s negotiations with the faculty union and to answer students’ questions, beginning at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 4.
Mr. Brogan and members of his staff will field questions submitted by students for the webcast. Students may submit questions in advance by sending them to chancellor@passhe.edu. To view the webcast, go to www.facebook.com/statesystem on Tuesday.
“Students want to know, and need to know, what is going on. We have been communicating with students regularly, and we think this is another good way to provide them with clear, consistent, unfiltered information directly from the State System,” Mr. Brogan said.
The State System has been communicating with students throughout the fall semester via its website and on a variety of social media outlets. Those efforts have increased as the possibility of a faculty union strike has escalated. The live webcast will provide students another opportunity to learn more about the potential walkout by faculty.
A Student Fact Sheet and a series of frequently asked questions related to the negotiations and possible strike by APSCUF is available at www.passhe.edu/negotiations.
Note: You are welcome to post the contents of this advisory in advance of the event.
