Inova Growth Officer to Speak at ESU’s Winter Commencement Ceremony

Alumnus Jeff Carr ’90 will be the keynote speaker for East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s winter commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 17, at 8:45 a.m. in Koehler Fieldhouse. Carr is the corporate and consumer services growth officer at Inova, the largest health care provider in Northern Virginia with five hospitals and more than 125 clinics. Inova serves more than two million people each year throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area and beyond.
Carr has 25 years of diverse experience specializing in corporate health services, hospitals, sales, employer and producer partnerships, employee benefits, payor and provider partnerships, marketing, retail health, pharmacogenomics and ambulatory care services. He developed and launched multiple new services for employers and consumers. These services include executive health and concierge services; employee assistance programs; comprehensive wellness offerings; occupational health; onsite wellness clinics; and direct contracting. The executive health and concierge services named VIP360 aims to help consumers and Fortune 500 companies keep their executive leadership healthy.
Throughout his career, Carr had provided consulting and training for numerous health systems across the United States including Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick, N.J. and Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) in Washington, D.C. He also has marketing, public relations, and management experience and has been a resource and subject matter expert speaker for dozens of organizations including the Advisory Board, Forum for Health Care Strategists, I-Triage, the Northern Virginia Technology Council, and the Washington Business Journal. Carr serves on numerous boards and volunteers for several organizations in his community.
Carr earned a Bachelor of Science in recreation services management from East Stroudsburg University in 1990. He lives in Alexandria, Va. with his wife, Sherry, and three daughters, Amelia, Sophia, and Ella.
