East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania will celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2018. The year-long celebration began on January 22 with the opening of a time capsule that was buried during ESU’s centennial celebration in 1993.
Marcia G. Welsh, Ph.D., president of ESU, launched the 125th anniversary year by showcasing items that were buried in the centennial time capsule, announcing events that will take place throughout the year, and encouraging everyone to visit esu.edu/125 to share their memories.
A CANniversary food drive, also held on January 22, helped to kick off the year’s celebration. Students, faculty, staff and alumni donated food items to the Warrior Food Pantry.
