Madelon Powers Gallery to Present Global Week Art Slam Exhibit

As part of East Stroudsburg University’s Global Week 2018, the Madelon Powers Gallery will feature a competitive student exhibit, Arts Slam, March 26-April 12. The theme of the exhibit is “The Mosaic of My Life.”
Students will submit works in three categories: graphic design, painting, and sculpture/3D, which reflect the fullness and beauty of the diversity found within themselves. The diversity can reflect all elements of the human experience such as: origin, gender, sexual orientation, politics, faith, ability, artistic expression, traditions, and more.
A prize of $100 will be awarded to the best entry in each category on Monday, April 2 at 5 p.m. at the Arts Slam performance being held in the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall of ESU’s Fine & Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite Streets, East Stroudsburg.
Hours for the Madelon Powers Gallery, located in ESU’s Fine & Performing Arts Center, are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
