ESU Inducts Students to Gerontology Honor Society

The East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) chapter of Sigma Phi Omega, the national honor society in gerontology, recently inducted 10 new students into its membership.
Ashley Rinkus, a junior nursing major from East Stroudsburg, Pa. was inducted. In addition, the following students majoring in communication sciences and disorders joined the organization: Lori Defazio from Pittston, Pa., Nia Lombardo from Avoca, Pa., Cierra Marks from Stroudsburg, Pa., Madeline Martin from Lancaster, Pa., Sophia Messner from York, Pa., Christina Shannon from Old Bridge, N.J., Katherine Stonikinis from Dupont, Pa., Julia Sule from Bethlehem, Pa., and Samantha Ward from Swarthmore, Pa.
Sigma Phi Omega serves to recognize outstanding educational or community service achievements in the field of aging.
