ESU Students Finalists in Student Business Plan Competition

Two students from East Stroudsburg University were semi-finalists in the eighth annual Student Business Plan Competition sponsored by Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education (PASSHE).

At left, Jose Nunez, a junior business management major from Allentown, PA developed Nu-Tech, LLC, a next generation smart apparel company targeting professionals in the sports industry seeking to improve performance and prevent injuries.

Nickolas Frassinelli, on the right, is a junior majoring in physics from East Stroudsburg, PA., developed Writer’s Terminal, a website that will sell digital products and services to amateur writers to encourage and inspire them to finish and publish their novels.

Its main features will be a tool to provide cash incentives to productive writers. Presenting the semi-finalist certificates is Dave Dentler, senior director of membership development at the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union (PSECU), the platinum sponsor of the PASSHE Student Business Plan Competition.

The annual business plan competition is designed to provide student entrepreneurs with the opportunity to share their original business plans and to win funds to assist in the start-up or expansion of their businesses. Students from all 14 State System universities were invited to participate in the competition in fall 2018.
