Political Science Students Inducted into Honor Society

East Stroudsburg University’s department of political science and economics recently inducted 11 students into Iota Chi, ESU’s chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha (the National Political Science Honor Society). Established in 1919, Pi Sigma Alpha today hosts chapters on nearly 850 campuses and has inducted more than 300,000 members. The admission criteria for undergraduate students is completion of a minimum of 12 credits in political science, an overall grade point average of 3.0 or better and a major grade point average of 3.5 or better. Admission for graduate students is enrollment in a political science degree program and an overall grade point average of 3.5 or better.

The newly inducted members are Gilian M. Bartholomew, a graduate student studying political science from Bangor, Pa.; Christian E. Christoffersen, a graduate student studying political science from Pocono Manor, Pa.; Elizabeth A. Hall, a graduate student studying management and leadership in public administration from Tobyhanna, Pa.; Zebulon W. Kleintop, a senior political science major from Albrightsville, Pa.; Eric S. LeVan, a senior political science major from Spring City, Pa.; Victoria R. Maichin, a senior political science major from East Stroudsburg, Pa.; Darcy M. Opperman, a senior political science major from Byram Township, N.J.; John F. Panico, a junior political science major from Tobyhanna, Pa.; Anna Rivera, graduate student studying management and leadership in public administration from Tobyhanna, Pa.; Christina Twimasi, graduate student studying management and leadership in public administration from Bushkill, Pa.; and Nicholas A. Zaso, a senior criminal justice and political science major from Nazareth, Pa.
