Homecoming Weekend Returns to East Stroudsburg University

East Stroudsburg University invites alumni, students, faculty, staff and community members to celebrate Homecoming 2021. An exciting weekend packed with activities kicks off on Friday, October 8 with the annual Homecoming bonfire. The bonfire will take place at 8 p.m. on the rugby field behind Dansbury Commons.

The Alumni Association welcomes back all alumni, including the classes of 1970 and 1971 celebrating their 50 year reunions. All alumni will have the opportunity to visit campus and participate in the annual alumni tailgate. Homecoming activities are not limited to campus, local businesses in Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg are also getting in on the festivities with Paint the Town. Art + Design students from ESU will paint the windows of local participating businesses to show their warrior spirit.

All activities listed below are open to the public:

Friday, October 8

ESU Women’s Volleyball vs. Bloomsburg

7 p.m., Koehler Fieldhouse

Cost: $8 adults, $4 seniors/children under 12

Bonfire

8:00 p.m., Pit Rugby Field (behind Dansbury Commons)

Events include a pep rally to celebrate ESU fall sports, food trucks, and the annual Homecoming Bonfire.

Saturday, October 9

Fan Zone and Marketplace

10:30-2 p.m., University Center Walkway

Local businesses and crafters as well as student organizations and student-run businesses will be on hand to greet Warriors fans and showcase their works and talents.

ESU Field Hockey vs. Mansfield

12 p.m., Whitenight Field

Cost: $8 adults, $4 seniors/children under 12

ESU Field Hockey vs. Slippery Rock

11 a.m., Whitenight Field

Cost: $8 adults, $4 seniors/children under 12

ESU Football vs. Millersville

2:05 p.m., Eiler-Martin Stadium

Cost: $15 chairback tickets, $10 general admission, $5 seniors/children under 12

ESU Women’s Volleyball vs. Lock Haven

7 p.m., Koehler Fieldhouse

Cost: $8 Adults, $4 seniors/children under 12
