Eleven ESU Students Accepted into Psi Chi: The International Honor Society in Psychology

Eleven psychology students at East Stroudsburg University were recently accepted into Psi Chi: The International Honor Society in Psychology. Psi Chi holds the distinction of being the largest student psychological organization in the world, having over 750,000 members. Psi Chi’s mission is to promote excellence in scholarship and to advance the science of psychology. The ESU chapter was founded in 1980 and since that time, hundreds of students have become members of this prestigious organization. Reneé Boburka, Ph.D. professor of psychology, and Irina Khusid, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology, are the faculty advisors for the ESU chapter of Psi Chi.
The new student members of Psi Chi for the fall 2021 semester are: Jayla Bainbridge, a junior majoring in psychology and Spanish from Reading, Pa.; Sara Christie, a senior psychology major from Wantage, N.J.; Caitlyn Clarke, a junior majoring in psychology and criminal justice from Audubon, N.J.; Deja Holloway, a senior psychology major from Philadelphia, Pa.; Payge Louchart, a sophomore psychology major from Lehighton, Pa.; Tiana Moragne, a senior majoring in psychology and criminal justice from Abington, Pa.; Claudia O’Donnell, a junior psychology major from Stroudsburg, Pa.; Aja Padovan, a senior majoring in psychology and environmental studies from West Palm Beach, Fla.; Karizma Washington, a junior psychology major from Coatesville, Pa.; Zanitha Wilson, a senior social work major from Philadelphia, Pa.; and Kyla Zimmerman, a senior psychology major from Milford, Pa.
