2022 Economic Outlook Summit – The Poconos: Innovation and Opportunity

The ninth annual East Stroudsburg University Economic Outlook Summit will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions. The theme for the 2022 Summit is “The Poconos: Innovation and Opportunity.”
This year’s Summit will be hosted by ESU Interim President, Kenneth Long. The summit will include a keynote address from Dennis Newman, executive vice president for strategy, planning and accessibility at Amtrak. Newman will discuss Amtrak’s vision for rail service to the Pocono Mountains. Other featured presentations include a discussion with the Carbon, Monroe, Pike and Wayne County commissioners about the actions they are taking to drive innovation and create opportunities in their respective counties. Christopher Beadling, president of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors, will provide insights on the impact of the pandemic on the real estate market and current real estate trends. The 2022 Economic Scorecard will also be presented.
