The University/Community Orchestra To Present Concert

Works by Haydn and Hovhaness will be featured at the spring concert of East Stroudsburg University’s University/Community Orchestra Wednesday, April 25.
Rachel Vowcicefski, a senior from East Stroudsburg, Pa., majoring in chemistry with a minor in music, will be the cello soloist in the first movement of Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C Major. Otis French, associate professor of music at ESU, will be the baritone horn soloist in Concerto No. 3 by Alan Hovhaness.
Curtain time will be at 7:30 p.m. at Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall of the university’s Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normaland Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg. The concert, sponsored by the Department of Music, is open to the public at no cost.
