East Stroudsburg University’s Madelon Powers Gallery will present Wesley Brown: Construct from Monday, February 6 – Friday, March 3. The exhibit will feature ceramic work by Wesley T. Brown, instructor of art + media + design. Hours for the gallery, located in the university’s Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, are Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

A reception for the artist will be held Wednesday, February 8 from 4-6 p.m. in the gallery. Both the exhibit and reception are open to the public at no cost.

Brown, who also serves as one of ESU’s Fredrick Douglass Scholars, will showcase his ceramic work which is made through a combination of wheel throwing and slab building techniques that he created while in this role. “Through clay vessels, I explore the concept of identity as the bringing together of varied experiences into a useful story,” Brown says in his artist statement.
