ESU College of Business and Management Students Tour Coca-Cola Park, Throw Out First Pitch at IronPigs Game

On Saturday, April 12, 12 students from ESU’s College of Business and Management’s Residential College went to Coca-Cola Park for a Lehigh Valley IronPigs game. The IronPigs are the AAA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.

The group, accompanied by Jaedeock Lee, Ph.D., professor and chair of sport management and Yong Ju, Ph.D., assistant professor of hospitality, recreation, and tourism management, took a tour of the stadium and had the opportunity to learn about the business aspect of the IronPigs.

The COBM students who attended are Arlen Chapman, a freshman majoring in marketing from West Chester, Pa.; Aboubakar Fofana, a freshman majoring in sport management from Philadelphia, Pa.; Marcello Gillyard, a freshman majoring in sport management from Philadelphia, Pa.; Tyler Gomolinkski, a junior majoring in sport management from Ivyland, Pa.; Nina Kerr, a freshman majoring in sport management from Leesport, Pa.; Anna Morton, a freshman majoring in hotel, restaurant and tourism management from Saylorsburg, Pa.; Michael Nichols, a freshman business management major from Union Beach, N.J.; Inza Soumahoro, a freshman majoring in finance from Philadelphia, Pa.; Jerom Stiastny, a freshman majoring in business management from Harford, Pa.; Max Tomko, a freshman majoring in business management from Sparta, N.J.;  Juliana Valdez, a freshman majoring in marketing from Bethlehem, Pa.; and Jovan Vega, a freshman sport management major from Philadelphia, Pa.

Nichols and Vega threw first pitches for the game, and the group got a game day experience with the Diamond Room group package.
