Student Volunteers Spruce Up Loder Center

A group of new and returning East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania students “gave back” to the community during “New Student Day of Service,” on Sunday, August 26, 2012. ESU students planted flowers and gardened around the Loder Center, a Monroe County senior center on Analomink Street in East Stroudsburg.
ESU community service volunteers are, from left: Lisette Lojo, a junior sociology major from Dingmans Ferry, Pa.; Jennifer Baronett, a senior interdisciplinary studies major from Philadelphia, Pa.; Alexis Lynch, a sophomore majoring in mathematics from Toms River, N.J; Erica Velander, a graduate student in history from Stroudsburg, Pa.; Angelica Langreo, a freshman majoring in biology from Tamiment, Pa.; and Brittney Derin, a senior in the physical education teacher certification program from Wantage, N.J. Members of ESU sororities served as team leaders at the community service site.
