No Injuries Reported in Fire at ESU; Student Services Re-Routed During Cleanup

A small fire occurred today at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in its Zimbar-Liljenstein Hall. All personnel and students were safely evacuated from the building and no injuries were reported although the building sustained some smoke and water damage. Zimbar-Liljenstein Hall is home to ESU’s Enrollment Services Center, Student Veterans Center, Transfer Center, Graduate College as well as several faculty offices and classrooms.
The building will be closed for an undetermined amount of time as university officials assess the damage and begin repairs. During this time, those seeking assistance from members of the ESU Enrollment Services Center regarding financial aid, registration or student billing may call 570-422-2800.
