ESU’s Career and Internship Fair Deemed a Success

A filled-to-capacity group of prospective employers attended East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Career and Internship Fair on Tuesday, March 4, in the Keystone Room.

Representatives from 61 companies, many of which were first-time attendees and traveled from a multi-state region, had the chance to introduce themselves to the approximately 375 ESU undergraduate and graduate students at the Career Fair, which was organized in a different fashion this semester. In the past, ESU hosted smaller, targeted career fairs geared toward students’ majors. However, this was the first time one larger event was held.

“Going forward, I really like the larger event,” said Daria Wielebinski, director of ESU’s Career Development Center. “It opens more opportunities for both the employers and the students.”

The three-hour Career Fair also included lunch for prospective employers, which was covered by their registration fees.

“A large number of the employers who completed the survey thought the career fair was a great success,” Wielebinski said. “They praised the large student turnout and the quality of students they spoke to.”
