ESU’s Department of Music Presents Spring Choral Concert

Music spanning many languages and centuries will be featured at the East Stroudsburg University Spring Choral Concert on Wednesday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall of the Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets.
Francis Poulenc’s “Gloria,” presented by the Concert Choir with a chamber orchestra, is the featured work on the program. Tara Nylander is soloist for the piece.
The Concert Choir also will perform, “Heiling,” by Felix Mendelssohn and “If Music Be the Food of Love,” by David Dickau.
Brahms’s “Von alten Liebesliedern,” “A Ditty” by Nils Lindberg, “How Sweet is Love,” by Michael Paget and “O Nata Lux,” by Morten Lauridsen, are among the selections to be performed by the A Cappella Ensemble. Both groups are under the direction of James Maroney, Ed.D., ESU associate professor of music.
The concert, sponsored by the department of music, is open to the public at no cost.
