East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) is signing three articulation agreements with Northampton Community College (NCC) for Business Management, Sport Management, and Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management degree programs.
ESU’s College of Business and Management will enter into articulation agreements with Northampton Community College’s College of Business and Technology to facilitate the seamless transfer of college credits students earn at NCC toward a four-year degree at ESU.
“This provides both institutions with the bridge between programs in business management, sport management and hotel, restaurant and tourism management at a time when the sport, recreation and tourism industries are expanding throughout the region,” said Robert Fleischman, Ed.D., J.D., professor and dean of ESU’s college of business and management. “This will also help build brand value for both institutions in their alignment with these industries.”
Founded in 1893, ESU is one of the 14 institutions in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. ESU offers nearly 60 undergraduate degrees and more than 20 graduate degrees.
The articulation agreements officially will be signed on Wednesday, April 30, at 10 a.m. by the presidents of ESU and NCC in Bethlehem, Pa.
ESU is the top transfer destination for NCC students, with about 125 students transferring each year to ESU.
