The College of Business and Management (COBM) at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania will celebrate its fifth anniversary on Saturday, October 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., during the university’s homecoming tailgate event at Henry A. Ahnert, Jr. Alumni Center. All graduates of ESU’s COBM and their families are invited to attend at no cost.
ESU’s College of Business, Management and Economics was founded in 2007 and was comprised of the departments of business management; hotel, restaurant and tourism management; recreation and leisure services management; economics, and sport management. The primary purpose of implementing the COBME was to strategically enhance the educational preparation and opportunities for students in respective professional fields.
In the fall of 2008, the department of economics returned to the College of Arts and Sciences. In 2009, the department of leadership studies and military science was added.
Saturday’s anniversary celebration will enable COBM graduates and prospective students to meet faculty and current students majoring in COBM programs. Refreshments and prizes will be available for those who attend. For additional information about ESU’s College of Business and Management visit www.esu.edu/cbm.
