Community Entrepreneurs To Discuss Entrepreneurship During Free Business Seminars at ESU Innovation Center

The East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) Research and Economic Development division, in collaboration with its community partners — Pennsylvania CareerLink, Pocono Mountains Economic Development Corporation, Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau, Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce, and the Pocono Mountains Keystone Innovation Zone — will hold a series of informative business seminars focused on starting, growing or transforming a business.<
The Entrepreneurs-on-Entrepreneurship series will be held in the ESU Innovation Center, 562 Independence Road (Brown Street and Route 447), East Stroudsburg, Pa.
The list of seminars is as follows:
- Creating Ideas for Business Success, 6-7:30 p.m., October 23, 2012. Bruce Hagedorn, president, Winds West, Inc.; and Charles Kirkwood, CEO, Shawnee Holdings, Inc., will provide insights on creating, evaluating and transforming business ideas.
- Legally Structuring Your Business, 6-7:30 p.m., October 30, 2012. Jeffrey Durney, Esq., Royle & Durney, LLC, will discuss what you need to know to protect your assets and minimize your liability.
- Business Accounting, 6-7:30 p.m., November 13, 2012. Brian Stone, C.P.A., Stone Trembly & Associates, will talk about the fundamentals of business accounting and tax implications based on your business structure.
- Financing a New Business and Entrepreneurial Support Panel Discussion, 6-8:00 p.m., November 20, 2012. William Lewis, vice president, Commercial Lending, ESSA Bank & Trust, will discuss financing programs and how to present your loan request.
