East Stroudsburg University’s Department of Nursing hosted its 15th annual Nursing Challenge on April 26 in the Abeloff Center for the Performing Arts.
Nursing students from nine regional institutions participated in this year’s event with representatives from the University of Scranton’s nursing program taking first place and winning a $500 prize provided by the Lehigh Valley Health Network.
Pictured here are members of ESU’s Nursing Challenge team; all are members of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and seniors graduating in May. The Nursing Challenge was established by ESU Associate Professor and Chair of Nursing Dr. Laura Waters as a fun way for nursing students from across the region to compete while answering questions modeled upon the nursing licensing exam (NCLEX).
