Department of Music To Present Winter Choral Concert

Music of many centuries including some seasonal selections will be featured at the East Stroudsburg University’s Winter Choral Concert Wednesday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall of the Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg.
Selections to be presented by the A Cappella Ensemble include: “O Magnum Mysterium” by Tomas Luis de Victoria; “Margoton va t’a l’iau” by Francis Poulenc; “My Lord Has Come” by Will Todd; and “Have You Seen the White Lily Grow?” by Irving Fine.
The Concert Choir will perform Vivaldi’s “Domine Fili Unigenite;” a group of spirituals including “Elijah Rock” arranged by Moses Hogan; and “Deep River” arranged by Roy Ringwald; along with seasonal selections. Both groups are under the direction of Dr. James Maroney, associate professor of music.
The concert, sponsored by the Department of Music, is open to the public at no cost, however donations to Vocal Performing Arts will be accepted.
