Department of Music to Present Winter Concert Featuring The University Jazz Ensemble

The University Jazz Ensemble of East Stroudsburg University will feature a mixture of classic jazz and seasonal favorites at its winter concert Thursday, December 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall of the university’s Fine & Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg.
The program will include jazz pieces of Benny Goodman, Miles Davis, a student bass trombone solo on Toshiko Akioshi’s “I Ain’t Gonna Ask No More,” along with seasonal favorites. Dr. Otis C. French, associate professor of music, is director of the ensemble.
The performance, presented by the Department of Music, is open to the public at no cost, however, the presentation is a fundraiser for University Bands, and donations will be accepted.
