East Stroudsburg University Announces Spring Concert Schedule

The Department of Theatre at East Stroudsburg University is excited to announce its spring concert series, featuring three musical performances. All events will take place in the Celia S. Cohen Recital Hall in the University’s Fine and Performing Arts Center, located at Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg and are free to the public.
Concert Schedule:
- Friday, April 24, 7:30 p.m. – Concert Choir: “A Gershwin Portrait” – An entire concert centered around the classics of George and Ira Gershwin
- Sunday, April 26, 3:30 p.m. – Concert Band: Something Borrowed – The Symphonic Wind Band concert will feature music based on other art forms including ballet, film, theatre, mythology and architecture.
- Tuesday, April 28 7:30 p.m. – Chamber Music Concert: Kaleidoscope – This concert will feature an eclectic group of works that pay homage to standard chamber repertoire and popular music.
- Friday, May 1, 7:30 p.m. – Jazz Ensemble: Velocity – The jazz ensemble concert will feature selections, that when programmed together, lend themselves to the idea of travel.
- Saturday, May 2, 2 p.m. – StaccAria Duo Concert – Professional duo, Trevor Landreth, assistant professor of theatre, and Madison Roths, will premier five new works featuring animation by Damian Thorn-Hauswirth, assistant professor of art + media + design.
