East Stroudsburg University Foundation Names New Board Members

East Stroudsburg University alumnus Colonel (Retired) U.S. Army George R. Fields, Jr. ’83 was appointed as a new member of the East Stroudsburg Foundation Board of Directors during the board’s quarterly meeting held on August 17, 2023.

Fields is a Senior Army Instructor at Creekside High School in Fairburn, Ga. He served in the U.S. Army for over 25 years and received the Bronze Star Medal for his service. Fields’ term began on July 1, 2023.

“On behalf of the ESU Foundation Board of Directors, I wish to express our gratitude to George Fields, Jr. for agreeing to serve in this important role. I am confident that he will help us continue our work in fulfilling the Foundation’s mission,” said Adam Stauffer ’00 M’02, ESU Foundation Board Chairman.

The ESU Foundation Board of Directors includes 18 active members who serve in support of the organization and its mission. Returning members of the Board of Directors are Glenn W. Pekarovsky III ’07, Council of Trustees Liaison; Anthony Ruiz ’16, Secretary; Stephen Somers; Adam S. Stauffer ’00 M’02, Chairman; Leslie L. Wilson ’74; Eric Wyatt ’85, and Rory Yanchek ’84. William B. Cramer, Esq., Rosemary Driebe Olofsson, Robert A. Shebelsky, and Robert Willever ’75 sit on the board as emeriti members.
